Fan Featured Friday: Crock Pot Beans!

So this recipe is a staple when it comes to summer time cookouts and BBQ parties! It was sent into us from Erin Kochanek in New Bedford, MA! We love crock-pot recipes because you can put everything together when you start your day and then leave them cooking until your ready! Thanks so much for submitting Erin! We can't wait to try them!

Ingredients
1lb. of ground hamburg
1lb. of bacon (maple cured is nice)
1medium sweet onion (vidalia)
1 cup of ketchup
1 cup of light brown sugar
1 16 ounce can of baked beans (NOTE-if I use maple bacon, I use maple beans)
1 can of red kidney beans drained
1 can of butter beans drained (NOTE Use whatever beans you like)
1 teaspoon of fry mustard, and salt and pepper to taste

So I start by cutting the bacon in small pieces and cooking down.
Reserve some bacon grease, add some butter and cook diced onion (season onions with salt and pepper)
Cook hamburg(season) in the same pan.
Once those three items are ready put in crockpot with all the other ingredients and cook on low for about 4 hours.
Be careful not to stir to much, you don't want to smush the beans.
Feel free to use your cooking license to alter the recipes to your liking.
